Join Our Community

Coffee, Games & Community is a free weekly one-hour social catch-up designed to provide a safe, welcoming and low-pressure opportunity for people with disability, support workers, families, carers and community members across the Sunshine Coast to connect.

Our goal is simple: to create a space where people can enjoy a coffee, meet new people, share a conversation and feel part of their community.

Whether you’re looking to make new connections, spend time with others who share similar interests, or simply enjoy a relaxed outing, you’re welcome to join us.

What Can I Expect?

Each week we meet at a welcoming venue somewhere on the Sunshine Coast for a relaxed social gathering.

Activities may include:

Coffee and conversation

UNO and simple games

Meeting new people

A friendly and inclusive atmosphere

Participation is always optional. You are welcome to join in activities, have a coffee and chat, or simply enjoy being around others.

There are no expectations and no pressure.

• People with disability

• Support workers

• Family members and carers

• Community members

• Support Coordinators

• Allied Health Professionals

When Does It Happen?

Every Monday

1:30pm – 2:30pm

Locations vary across the Sunshine Coast

To help us create accessible, welcoming and enjoyable experiences, locations may change from time to time.

Registered community members receive location details and event updates in advance.

Staying Connected

We recommend joining our Cares Chat Community to stay up to date with upcoming events, venue announcements and reminders.

Cares Chat is The Energy’s private community communication platform and has been selected with privacy, confidentiality and secure communication practices in mind.

Alternative communication options such as SMS and email are also available.

Is There A Cost?

No.

Coffee, Games & Community is free to attend.

Participants are welcome to purchase food and drinks from the venue if they choose.

Support Requirements

Coffee, Games & Community is a community-based social event and is not a drop-off, respite, supervision or support service.

Attendees who require support to participate safely and successfully should ensure appropriate support arrangements are in place before attending.

Support workers, family members and carers are welcome to attend.

If you are unsure whether support may be required, please let us know when registering. Given sufficient notice, The Energy may be able to discuss support options that may assist you to participate.
