Who we support ADHD

ADHD Support in the Sunshine Coast

Practical support for people with ADHD: routines, organisation, emotional regulation, and getting things started and finished.

Out and about in the community

The gap between knowing and doing

People with ADHD usually know exactly what they need to do. The difficulty is starting it, staying with it, and finishing it, and the shame that builds when the gap between knowing and doing gets pointed out. Support that works here is practical and non-judgemental: someone alongside for the part that stalls.

That might be sitting with you while you start the thing. It might be a routine that holds because someone helps keep it. It might be getting out of the house to the appointment you have rescheduled three times.

We are not a clinical service. Diagnosis, medication and therapy stay with your doctor or psychologist. We do the day to day alongside that.

What support can look like

Practical, and shaped around what stalls for you.

Starting

Body doubling: someone in the room while you begin the task you have been avoiding.

Routines

Morning, evening and weekly structure that holds because someone helps hold it.

Organisation

The house, the paperwork, the appointments, the deadlines. Sorted with you, not for you.

Regulation

Support through the frustration, and a plan for when it spikes.

Getting out

Community access for the things you want to do and keep not doing.

Study and work

Structure around the parts of the week that fall over.

Where we work

Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay

The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.

No judgement

You are not lazy, and we will not treat you like it.

The whole approach is built on that. Practical help with the parts that are hard, without the lecture.

  • A worker who understands ADHD, not just disability
  • Structure you help design, so it fits how you work
  • Support that adapts on a bad day
  • Honest conversations about what is working

Questions about ADHD support

Does the NDIS fund ADHD support?

ADHD on its own is not usually enough for NDIS access, but many people with ADHD have plans for other reasons, or as part of a broader picture. If you have a plan, this support can be used. If you do not, we will tell you what the options are.

Is this coaching?

It is practical support, not a coaching program. Some people want structured goals; some just want someone alongside on the hard days. Both work.

Do you support adults?

Yes. Adult ADHD is under-recognised and adults are a large part of who we support here.

Can this be combined with mentoring?

For young people, yes. Youth mentoring and ADHD support often overlap and the same worker can do both.

What keeps not getting done?

Start there. We will sit with you while it does.
