About Clair
An experienced people, governance and operations professional, with a background in human resources, recruitment, compliance and leadership across the NDIS, health, education and government sectors.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Clair lived in Hong Kong for three years, where she completed part of her secondary schooling, before emigrating to Australia in 2003. She has built a career across South East Queensland since, in senior and autonomous roles across NDIS service delivery, allied health, not-for-profits, private business ownership and Queensland Government. She has led end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, workforce compliance, policy and procedure development, governance systems and the operational processes around them, which gives her a practical understanding of how good governance has to work in the real world, not just on paper.
At The Energy, Clair is the HR and Governance Lead, overseeing the organisation’s people, governance and compliance functions. That covers workforce and recruitment practices, employment frameworks, policies and procedures, organisational governance, regulatory compliance and the systems that sit behind safe, accountable service delivery. Her job is to make sure the organisation meets its NDIS, workplace and legislative obligations while keeping those systems practical for the people who use them.
She brings a structured, calm and solutions-focused approach to complex environments, and is known for her integrity, reliability and for bringing clarity where things can easily become complicated. She has strong experience working with stakeholders across government, mental health, disability and community services.
Late diagnosed with ASD Level 1, Clair works to give neurodivergent people a stronger voice, particularly in workplaces and support services. She advocates for inclusive, practical systems that support people and do not create unnecessary barriers.
