Who we support Children and young people
Supporting Children and Young People in the Sunshine Coast
Support for children, teenagers and young adults with disability in the Sunshine Coast, built around school, family and the move into adult life.

Different ages, different support
A seven year old, a fifteen year old and a twenty-two year old need very different things, and it is a mistake to treat ‘children and young people’ as one group. We do not. Support for a child is built with the family around school and routine; for a teenager it is about independence and friends; for a young adult it is about work, study and eventually moving out.
Across all of them, the same rules apply: workers matched for fit, the same person each time, and a plan the young person has a real say in.
The team includes a director with a Child Safety background, which means experience with complex family situations and a serious approach to safeguarding.

Support with the mornings, evenings and homework that make a school week work.
Transitions
Out of school, into study or work, and the steps in between.

Where we work
Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Family
You know your child. We take that seriously.
Parents and carers are involved at the level they choose, and the young person’s own voice is in every plan.
- Meet the worker before they start
- Blue Card and Worker Screening Check verified by us
- Plans the young person helps write
- Straight answers on capacity and fit

Questions about supporting young people
What ages do you support?
From primary school age through to the mid twenties. Under about seven, early intervention providers are usually the better fit, and we will say so.
Are your workers Blue Card holders?
Every worker supporting a child or young person holds a current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, and we verify both ourselves.
Can you work with the school?
Yes, with the family’s agreement. Consistency between home, school and support is usually what makes the difference.
Do you do school holiday support?
Yes, as community access during the holidays. Tell us the dates early. Holiday weeks book out.
Tell us about them.
And what a good week would look like. We will build from there.
