In development Respite packages
NDIS Respite Packages in the Sunshine Coast
Planned respite built around a place, not just a bed. A farm stay in the hinterland, a few days on the coast, a camping trip, a city break. We are building these now.

Respite that is a break
Most respite is a room somewhere and a worker on shift. It gives the family a break and the participant a change of walls. We think it can be better than that: a few days built around somewhere worth going, planned properly, with the accommodation and support organised for you.
We are developing four baseline packages: a farm stay in the Maleny hinterland, a beach break on the coast, a camping trip, and a city experience, as starting points that you modify. Longer, shorter, quieter, busier, with a particular person, without one.
These are in development. We are telling you now because the people who ask first shape what gets built. Register your interest and we will talk you through where it is up to.
How it would work
- Format
- A baseline package, modified to suit you
- Planning
- We organise accommodation, transport and support; you choose the shape
- Length
- A night to several days, depending on the package and your plan
- Funding
- Depends on how the stay is structured. We work this out with you before anything is booked
The four starting points
Each is a baseline. Everything about it can change.
Maleny farm stay
Hinterland, animals, quiet, and a very different pace from home.
Coastal break
A few days by the beach, with the coast’s cafés, walks and water on the doorstep.
Camping
Tents or a cabin, a fire, and the kind of days that do not need a plan.
City experience
Brisbane for a couple of days: food, a show, the things you cannot do on the coast.
Modified to you
Every package changes to fit: length, pace, company, activity.
Your idea
Somewhere you have always wanted to go? Tell us. It might become a package.
Where we work
Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Register interest
Tell us which one, and what you would change.
There is no booking yet and no commitment. Your answers decide what gets built first.
- Accommodation and support organised for you
- A worker you already know, wherever possible
- Planned in advance, not thrown together
- A straight answer on funding before anything is booked

Questions about respite packages
Can I book one now?
Not yet. The packages are being built and we would rather tell you that than take a booking we cannot deliver properly. Register interest and we will be in touch.
How is it funded?
It depends on how the stay is structured, and the rules around short term accommodation are specific. We work this out with you, in writing, before anything is booked, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
In many cases, yes. Tell us who, and we will build it in.
Do you also do ordinary respite?
Yes. If what you need is a planned or short notice break, not a trip, see our respite and short term accommodation page.
Which one would you pick?
Register your interest and tell us. That decides what we build first.
