Supports Social and recreational
NDIS Social and Recreational Activities, Sunshine Coast
Groups, outings and one-to-one social support that build real connections. Including our free weekly Coffee, Games and Community catch-up.

Connection is the point
Social and recreational support is the NDIS funding what most people take for granted: seeing people, doing things you enjoy, having somewhere to be. It is the support that drops away first when life gets hard and the one that changes the most when it comes back.
It runs as one to one for people who want that, and as small groups for people who prefer company. Groups are charged at a lower rate per person, so plan hours go further.
Our free weekly Coffee, Games and Community group is the easiest starting point for most people.
How it usually runs
- One to one
- Outings and activities with a worker, led by your interests
- Small groups
- Three to six people, with a worker, at group rates
- Coffee and games
- Weekly, free, open to anyone
- In your plan
- Social and Community Participation, under Core

Where we work
Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Low pressure
Start wherever feels manageable.
One to one first if groups are hard. The community group if you want company without commitment. There is no right entry point.
- Groups small enough that everyone is known
- The same worker running things each week
- A quiet corner and an easy way to step out
- Group rates that make plan hours go further

Questions about social and recreational support
Who pays for the activity?
You cover your own costs (coffee, entry, tickets), the same as anyone. Your plan pays for the support worker’s time. Where a worker has to pay entry to come with you, that comes up before you book.
Is the Coffee and Games group funded?
No. It is free and there is no support charge for attending. Structured groups run by our workers are charged at NDIS group rates.
What if I do not want to be in a group?
Then do not be. One-to-one social support is just as valid, and for many people it is the right place to start and stay.
Do you run activities in Moreton Bay?
Yes, and the community group is open to people coming from Moreton Bay. Ask about transport.
What would you do with company?
Start there, and we will work out the rest.
