Supports Daily living and life skills
NDIS Daily Living and Life Skills Support in the Sunshine Coast
Building the skills that make daily life easier, at your own pace. Cooking, budgeting, travel, routines, and the everyday things that make independence real.

Doing it with you, until you do not need us to
There is a difference between having something done for you and learning to do it. Both are legitimate, and most people want some of each. This page is about the second one: building the skills that mean, over time, you need support for less of your day.
Cooking a meal, catching a bus, managing money, keeping a routine, making an appointment and turning up to it. Practical, ordinary, and life-changing when you can do them yourself.
We work at your pace, and we say so when a goal needs more time. Progress is not restarted every visit because it is the same worker each time.
How it usually runs
- Goals
- Set by you, revisited regularly
- Format
- Doing it together, then stepping back
- Worker
- The same person, so progress carries over
- In your plan
- Improved Daily Living under Capacity Building, or Core
Skills people work on
Whatever would make the biggest difference to your week.

Money
Budgeting, banking, bills, and knowing what you can afford.
Travel
Public transport, planning a trip, and getting somewhere new without a lift.
Routines
A morning and evening that hold together, and a week with some shape.
Appointments
Making them, remembering them, getting there, and understanding what was said.
Communication
Phone calls, forms, asking for help and saying no.
Where we work
Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Pace
Your pace, and honesty about it.
If a goal needs longer, we say so. If it is done, we step back. Neither happens on a timetable.
- Goals you set, not ones set for you
- The same worker, so nothing is relearned
- Regular honest check-ins on progress
- Stepping back as you want us to

Questions about daily living support
What is the difference between this and in-home support?
In-home support is about getting through the day with help. This is about building the skills so you need less help over time. Many people use both, and the same worker can do both.
Does the NDIS fund life skills?
Yes, usually as Improved Daily Living under Capacity Building, and sometimes under Core. What is available depends on your plan.
What if I do not want to learn to do it myself?
Then you do not have to. Having something done for you is a legitimate support. This page is for people who want to build the skill, and it is your choice which.
How long does it take?
It depends entirely on the person and the skill. We will not promise a timeline, and we will tell you how it is going.
What would you like to be able to do yourself?
