About Charne
A support worker living in the Sunshine Coast, who moved here after completing a Bachelor of Psychology at Monash University in Melbourne.
She spent three years working with at-risk and vulnerable young people in out-of-home residential care under Child Safety, specialising in managing extreme and antisocial behaviours arising from mental health, trauma and neglect. That work is about building resilience, setting and reaching goals, developing life skills and emotional regulation, and it gave her real experience in high-risk situations.
Her practice centres on autonomy: support that builds a person’s own capacity.
