Supports Sunshine Coast
In-home NDIS supports in the Sunshine Coast
The practical help that makes a week work, in your own home, from people you know by name.

What we help with
In-home support covers two things that often get lumped together: personal care, which is help with your body and your health, and domestic assistance, which is help with the house.
Personal care might be showering, dressing, grooming, medication prompts or help with mobility and transfers. Domestic assistance is the cleaning, laundry, shopping and meal preparation that otherwise stack up until they become overwhelming.
Most people want a mix, and the balance shifts. A fortnight after a hospital stay looks very different from an ordinary February, and the schedule should be able to move with that.
The support itself
01
Personal care
Showering, dressing, grooming, continence support, medication prompts and help with moving safely around your home.
02
Around the house
Cleaning, laundry, changing bedding, and keeping on top of the jobs that are hard to face when you are already tired.
03
Meals and shopping
Planning, shopping and cooking. Done with you where you want to be involved, and for you where you would rather not be.
04
Routines and prompting
The structure that makes a day workable, for people whose difficulty is starting and sequencing, not the tasks themselves.
05
Appointments
Getting to and from health appointments, and someone with you in the room if that helps you take it all in.
06
Short notice and respite
Cover when a regular carer is unwell or away.
Which NDIS budget pays for in-home support
In-home support in the Sunshine Coast is paid from Core Supports, under Assistance with Daily Life. Core is the most flexible part of a plan, so hours budgeted for help at home can move across to community access in a week when that is what you need.
The NDIA sets the maximum hourly rates, not us. Rates change with the day and the time: a Saturday shift draws more from the same budget than a Tuesday one, and sleepover and active overnight support are priced separately. Where a worker drives you, travel time and a per-kilometre amount are claimed under the same rules.
- Core Supports, under Assistance with Daily Life
- Weekday, evening, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday rates all differ
- Travel time and kilometres claimable when a worker drives you
- Rates, travel and cancellation terms in writing before the first shift

How to check we are a registered NDIS provider
You do not have to take our word for it. The NDIS Commission publishes a public register of every registered provider, including registration groups and status. We are on it, and so is anyone else you are considering.
Registration means a provider has been audited against the NDIS Practice Standards and is bound by the NDIS Code of Conduct, with the Commission able to act if they fall short. It also means an agency managed plan can use us, not only plan managed and self managed ones.
- Search the NDIS Commission’s public provider register
- Audited against the NDIS Practice Standards
- Every worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Blue Cards for anyone supporting a child or young person

Where we work
Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Why people move to us
Turning up is most of the job.
The complaint we hear most about previous providers is not poor care. It is a different worker every week, or nobody at all and no phone call.
- A small regular team, so you are not starting over each visit
- You meet a worker before their first shift
- If we have to change someone, you hear it from us first
- Your preferences written into the plan, not held in someone’s head

Questions about in-home support
Which part of my plan pays for this?
Usually Core Supports, under Assistance with Daily Life. It is generally the most flexible part of a plan, which means you have real say over how the hours get used. Bring your plan and we will go through it with you.
What is the minimum I can book?
Short visits are possible but they are rarely good value once travel is accounted for, and a rushed visit helps nobody. We will be straight with you about where the sensible minimum sits for your situation.
Can the same worker do personal care and the housework?
Usually yes, and most people prefer it that way. One person who knows how you like things done.
What if I need to cancel?
Give us as much notice as you can. Short-notice cancellations may still be charged under the NDIS pricing rules, which we will explain at the start.
How much does in-home support cost per hour?
The NDIA sets the maximum, not us. Rates in its Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits vary by weekday, evening, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, and by whether the support is standard, sleepover or active overnight. We will give you the exact figures for the shifts you want in writing before you sign anything.
Can I use you if my plan is agency managed?
Yes. We are a registered NDIS provider, so agency managed, plan managed and self managed plans can all use us. Our registration is on the NDIS Commission’s public provider register if you want to check it.
What checks do your workers have?
Every worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and has completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, and anyone supporting a child or young person also holds a Blue Card. We verify all of them ourselves.
What happens if my regular worker is sick?
We send someone who has already met you and has read your notes wherever we can. If nobody like that is free, we call you and tell you the options. We do not send a stranger to a personal care shift without warning you.
Can support start at 6am or run into the evening?
Yes. Early mornings and evenings are normal parts of a routine and are funded at their own rates. Tell us the hours you need and we will tell you whether we can staff them.
Tell us what a hard week looks like.
That is usually the fastest way to work out what support would help.
