Social workWhat a week of support looks like in Caloundra
Most plans we pick up here mix time at home with time out of it. A typical week is a few in-home shifts covering personal care, the washing, the shopping and the parts of a routine that are hard to start on your own, plus one or two longer community access shifts that get you out to Bulcock Street and the coastal path to Kings Beach.
The support is delivered in your own home and around Caloundra. We do not run a centre or a day program, and we do not deliver Supported Independent Living. What sits outside what we do well, we refer on, and we name someone.
- Longer shifts, so there is time to do the job properly
- The same worker each week wherever it matters to you
- In-home and community hours in one roster
- A straight answer on what we can staff, on the first call

Getting around Caloundra
Caloundra has no railway station. Buses run from the Caloundra bus station, and route 605 connects Caloundra to Landsborough station on the Nambour and Gympie North line if you are heading further afield. For most people here, transport support is a worker’s car.
Workers travel to you. Appointments that need a car, including Caloundra Health Service and the transit centre, are part of the support, not an extra you arrange separately. Where a worker drives you, their travel time and a per-kilometre amount are claimed against your plan under the NDIS pricing rules, and we will explain what that looks like before we start.
We work across Sunshine Coast, so a worker who covers Caloundra is not driving in from another region and arriving late.

Questions about support in Caloundra
Do you cover Pelican Waters, Golden Beach and Currimundi?
Yes, along with Little Mountain, Aroona, Battery Hill, Moffat Beach, Dicky Beach and Meridan Plains.
Can community access be the beach and Bulcock Street?
Yes. Going to the same places you already like is a legitimate use of community access funding. It does not have to be a program.
How quickly can support start in Caloundra?
It depends on what you need and when. We answer every enquiry within one business day and tell you what we can staff. We do not add you to a waitlist and hope. If we cannot cover it, we will say so.
Do I need to be plan managed or self managed to use you?
No. We are a registered NDIS provider, so an agency managed plan can use us as well. Registration is a matter of public record on the NDIS Commission’s provider register if you want to check it.
Will I get the same worker each week?
That is what we build the roster around. We hire for substantial, ongoing hours so the same person can keep coming, and if that person is sick we send someone who has met you and read your notes wherever we can. If neither is available we call you.

Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Supporting someone in Caloundra?
