Coming soon Youth group
A Youth Group in the Sunshine Coast
A regular group for young people with disability, run by our team. Not running yet. Register your interest and you will be first to know when it starts.

Why we are starting one
Our free weekly Coffee, Games and Community group works because it is regular, low pressure and the same faces each week. Young people have told us they want the same thing, with people their own age.
So we are starting a youth group. The format will be shaped by who registers: the day, the time, the kind of thing you want to do. If enough people say arcade, it is arcade. If enough say beach, it is beach.
It is not running yet, and we would rather say so than pretend. Register below and we will contact you when there is a date.
What we know so far
- Who
- Young people with disability, roughly 14 to 25
- Where
- Sunshine Coast, venue to be confirmed
- When
- To be set once we know who is coming
- Cost
- Support hours funded through your plan; activity costs are your own
What it could be
Tell us which of these appeal when you register. The group is built from the answers.
Arcade and games
Bowling, karting, the arcade. Loud, easy and no one has to talk much.
Beach and outdoors
Surf, swim, walk, kick a ball. The coast is right there.
Food
Cooking together, or working through the best cheap eats on the coast.
Skills
Getting a licence, using public transport, managing money. Practical, with people in the same boat.
Quiet
A smaller, calmer option for people who find groups hard but still want one.
Your idea
Tell us. If a few people want it, it is on the list.
Where we work
Across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay
The same team and the same approach wherever you are. If you are just outside these areas, ask us. We will say yes or no.
Register your interest
The first people to register shape the group.
No commitment. Tell us who you are, what you would want to do, and when you are free, and we will be in touch when there is a date.
- Run by workers who already know the participants
- Small enough that everyone is known by name
- Funded through your plan as group community access
- A quieter option for those who need it

Questions about the youth group
When does it start?
We do not have a date yet, and we are not going to invent one. Once enough people have registered to make a regular group work, we set the day and let everyone know.
How is it funded?
Group community access is charged at a group rate per person, so your plan hours go further than one to one. Activity costs (entry, food) are your own, the same as any outing.
Do I need to be an existing participant?
No. Anyone with an NDIS plan in the Sunshine Coast can register interest. If you are not with us yet, we will talk you through how it would work.
Can a parent or coordinator register on someone’s behalf?
Yes, with the young person’s agreement. They are the one who has to want to come.
Want to be first to know?
Register your interest and tell us what you would want it to be.
